• VERSION 192

  • With V192, CultureSuite continues to refine the modules and tools within Peppered. We thank everyone who has provided feedback and tickets during this development cycle; your insight helps us improve the platform for all.

    Beta: Monday 11th March, 2024.
Full Client Release: Monday 18th March, 2024.

    NEW CMS DEVELOPMENT CONTINUES

As noted in previous release notes, we are actively developing the new CMS, which will bring further features, modules and improvements to Peppered. Some of the recent items in this development journey are multilingual toggles, opt-in and organisational modules, new icons, and more! As we continue development on the first phases of the new CMS, we look forward to sharing more with you and keeping you updated on how this is going.

    MORE FEATURES FOR GROUPS MODULE

You can now assign a group to multiple events and productions at the same time. We have also added some UX improvements, such as quickly navigating between a group and linked events.

  • The Groups documentation has been updated to reflect these changes.

ANCHORS & STORY TYPE FILTERS ON SMALL SCREENS

Another welcome improvement is that we've improved secondary navigation on small screens, enhancing your user journey regardless of where they are and their platform or device.

These additions can be found in the page anchor menu and the stories overview filter.

LIST-UNSUBSCRIBE HEADER FOR ALL MAILING TEMPLATES

We have added an option for an unsubscribe header to all mailing templates. There are dozens of benefits to having this—It is vital to include unsubscribe options in emails to comply with various laws globally relating to the use, collection, and retention of personal information. In doing so, you also raise credibility as a sender, improve email deliverability, and avoid recipients making emails spam if there is no easy-to-view or accessible unsubscribe option. These are just some of the primary benefits of having this in the header of the email.

    IMPROVEMENTS TO V4 MAILINGS

There have been many minor improvements to the V4 Mailings, alongside new styling options, including new preamble and footer options for full width or container width.

NEW QUERYBUILDER FILTER “PURCHASED GENRES AND TAGS”

This filter will find all visitors who have previously bought tickets for events in one or more selected genres.

AUTOMATIC QUEUE BYPASS WITH SPECIAL ACCESS

When you are logged into the Dashboard, and your website's queue parameter is queue=0, you will automatically skip the queue without using the “bypass queue” feature in the Dashboard. However, the special access only works when the queue parameter is 0, usually during maintenance.

    THE NEW CLEANUP MODULE

The feature identifies all email addresses in your database that appear inactive or unlinked to any additional data and provides the ability to delete the data identified within the module, which will provide an essential step in cleaning up unessential or unused personal data.

NEW VISIBILITY OPTION FOR STORY TYPES

You can now hide story types in the Dashboard. Stories will still be displayed on the website, but the story type is no longer visible in the story cards and filter.

REMOVED "OTHER" COUNTRY OPTION IN ACCOUNTS

Since not all box office systems allow for “other”, this option is now removed. All countries in your box-office system are available on your website. If you need more countries, please add them in your box-office system. We can then import them to the platform to ensure an exact match.

You can also set “preferred countries” in your Dashboard. These countries will pop up on the top of the country list for ease of use and access.

    ADDITIONAL FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS

    • Added support for Vimeo and YouTube start times in video URL
    • Fix for the bug in which there was a missing error message on an incorrectly entered password.

  • VERSION 191

With V191, CultureSuite continues to refine the modules and tools within Peppered. We thank everyone who has provided feedback and tickets during this development cycle; as a result of your insight, we can better the platform for all.

KEY DATES

If you’re not on beta, you can expect this release to be rolled out starting 26th February, 2024.

  • Beta Release: 19th February, 2024
  • Release Rollout: 26th February, 2024

HOSTING MIGRATION

With Version 188, we announced the plan to switch to a new hosting provider that could build us an environment ready for the future. We are about a third way through this process. With the migration to Exonet, you will experience further stability and benefits going forward. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

MEDIA GALLERY UPDATE

We heard you! In the last release, we updated the Media Gallery module to provide a four-card-tile-layout option alongside the existing three, and five-tile options, but this defaulted to a horizontal crop. With V191, by default, the four-tile media gallery displays the correct image crops (square). If you wish to change this, you can do so with parameters.

DATALAYER IMPROVEMENTS

  • cart_opened
  • cart_closed
  • add_to_wishlist
  • remove_from_wishlist
  • Corrected item_name: in events, now use a hyphen instead of an em-dash
  • Corrected prices: now floats, not strings
  • Product attributes added

You can find more information in our Google Tags Management documentation.

ADDITIONAL FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS

  • The option to move genres above the super title on the production detail page

  • The Brochure template now displays an optional tagline for all events
  • A new Template Text above the button for stand-alone cross-sell sales in "My Account."

VERSION 190

As part of our ongoing promise to create a better experience for you, our clients, and your users, we’re constantly working towards a new Dashboard with exciting new features, updated feature favourites, and some. We’ll continue this development and are excited to share more with you soon!

Media Gallery Update

We’ve updated the Media Gallery module to provide a four-card-tile-layout option alongside the existing three- and five-tile options. We hope this will provide additional customisation options to support your needs.

Additional Fixes

  • Video on mobile for showcase banners is fixed.
  • Selecting payment methods in the order search form is now working correctly.

VERSION 189

Version 189 brings many more minor tweaks, improvements and additions while we prepare for the big jump to the new hosting provider and continue working on the latest version of the Dashboard. We hope to be in touch in the coming month or two to discuss the move to the new hosting provider!

Live: 8 January (Bèta), 15-16 January

Due to the holidays we will not be releasing any big new features. Whilst there's no big new feature this release, we've been doing housekeeping and working hard to tackle a lot of smaller topics. Mostly technical updates in the background that we won't bother you with, but here’s some smaller updates that stand out:

  • Added a “spinner” while moving all wishlist events to the shopping cart. When the wishlist contains a lot of events, it takes a moment to add them all to the shopping cart, since we are checking availability of all events in the list. To make sure it is clear that the process is active, we added an animated spinner to inform visitors that everything is running smoothly.
  • Fixed the order of productions in search results (future productions above productions in the past)
  • Optimization on the secure tickets flow while requesting an e-ticket access code by SMS
  • Created an “External order URL” option for themes. If you are selling all events within a theme on an external sales page, you can now link to that page directly from the “buy theme” button on the theme page.
  • Refined the event availability logic for Tixly. In some cases availability information would not be enabled in the Tixly API. For those cases we no longer default to “sold-out” but look at the event status. If event is not sold-out or cancelled, it should still be on sale.
  • Fixed creating new products in Dashboard.
