One can use a brochure to show the season brochure or the programme overview.

It focuses on media and browsing and less on information as compared to the current calendar pages. It brings the printed brochure online and uses the advantages of the online world, for example with videos and the wishlist.

You can use this online brochure with any selection of productions via themes; a season or a month, a genre or maybe per conductor for orchestras! So create pages, add a theme or even multiple themes as parts and set them to the brochure view to build your online brochure.

But why would you have only one brochure? You can build several brochures, targeted at specific visitor groups when you combine this with personalised content via the visitor tags!

The grid features a small pop-up to add single events to your wishlist or shopping cart.

The grid also features three different sizes of production tiles. The big and small sizes are activated with a property on the production page in your dashboard:

A pop-up for all productions is available, and comes with a browse feature to quickly jump to the next or previous production in the list. The pop-up can show content from one or more content fields (teaser, description, programme, credits). To keep the browsing experience light, we suggest to only use one or two fields for the content, and refer visitors to the detailed page for all extra content.

A quick video to get a feeling of the browsing experience is available:

Activating the brochure view

Activating this brochure layout for any production list requires a bit of technical knowhow, because some parameters need to be added to the event- or themelist part.

To use the brochure view for your entire calendar, including the filter part, add these parameters to the "list/showList.html.smarty" part in the "Routes & parts" module

To use the brochure view on one specific page, select the "themelist" part in a page and add the parameters directly to the part of the page

We suggest you start with a themelist part, because you can then test the brochure view on one isolated page.

Ask a Peppered Expert if you need some help with the parameters.

When you'd like to control the min-max items that are shown in the pop up please add the parameter:

maxEvents

And add the max events that are shown in the pop up. Default is max. 4

Under "parameters" create a new parameter "Variant" and select "Add":

A new field will appear. Enter "brochure" in the field and click "Save".

Repeat these steps for other parameters.

Note: When using the brochure view on your entire calendar, make sure to set "Show events on date filter" to "No", in order to keep the correct production grouping (in Control Panel > Events & Productions). The brochure view is not suitable for single event lists.
