When you are using the Peppered Platform integrated ticketing, the "tickets" button will automatically add the event to your Peppered shopping cart.

But when your ticketing is elsewhere, you need to redirect visitors to the correct location where they can buy the tickets. And preferably this link will bring you directly to the correct event, so you don't have to search again after you have been redirected.

Each event should have a unique sales url when you are using the webshop of your Box-office system. Usually this url will have the Box-office ID of the event in the url.

For Ticketmatic, this link could look like https://apps.ticketmatic.com/widgets/yourtheater/addtickets?event=159844264145

For Tix, a typical url will look like https://tix.no/nb/mytheater/buyingflow/tickets/17358/35685/

Manually add sales URL's to your events

If you know the sales URL of your event, you can manually add it to the event in Peppered, and the "tickets" button will redirect you to that url:

Automatically generate sales url's based on the Box office ID of the event

If all your sales URL's have the same structure, and only the Box office ID of the event is different for each link, the Peppered Platform can automatically generate URL's for all events that have a Box-office ID (= Ticketing code) *

In the Control Panel of your Dashboard, go to "Ticketing" and format your external order link template. Use the tag [!ID!] where the event box-office ID needs to be. (Ask your Ticketing partner about your specific URL structure):

Once configured, the Peppered Platform will generate the sales URL's for any new event with a Box-office ID, Every time you update the prices of events in your Dashboard.

what if you dont have a ticketing API?

Good to know:

  • To complete the automated process, it is highly recommended that you import all event Box-office ID's into the Peppered platform first from your event updater (for instance Yesplan) if you have one.

  • The Peppered "price updater" also runs in the background every 24 hours, to make sure newly imported events will automatically obtain the prices and a sales url.

* Tix sales URL's also need the Production Box-office ID (= EventGroup ID in Tix) to create the sales URL.

For Tix the External order link template should be configured something like this:

Where [!PROD_ID!] is the Production Box-office ID (EventGroup ID in Tix) and [!ID!] is the Event Box-office ID.

Luckily the Peppered Platform will automatically import the Production Box-office ID from Tix when the Event Box-office ID is known, each time the price updater is activated. So this process can completely be automated.
